CTA - CALL TO ACTION

A piece of content or design placement intended to induce a viewer, reader, or listener to perform a specific act, typically taking the form of an instruction or directive (ex. buy now or click here).

HEADER

A header is a term given to a main strip or icon that sits towards the top of your website. Its purpose is to introduce your branding and send out a message.

FOOTER

In web design, a footer is the bottom section of a website. Its purpose is to give you a space for important links and information.

LEAD MAGNET

A lead magnet is a marketing term for a free item or service that is given away for the purpose of gathering contact details; for example, lead magnets can be trial subscriptions, ebooks, e-newsletters, and free consultations, etc.

TRIPWIRE

A tripwire is an irresistible, low-priced offer that's sole purpose is to convert a potential customer into an actual customer.

VA - VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

A virtual assistant is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients remotely from a home office.

OBM - ONLINE BUSINESS MANAGER

An online business manager is a remotely-based support professional that handles the day-to-day management of projects, operations, and team members. They synchronize and manage the different aspects of your business while you channel your attention towards growing it.

NURTURE SEQUENCE

An email nurture sequence is a queued set of engaging emails that are sent to a prospect or lead from a marketing automation platform or auto-responder over a scheduled period of time after they take some form of action that triggers the start of the sequence.

SOPS - STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

A standard operating procedure is a set of step-by-step instructions compiled by an organization to help workers carry out routine operations. SOPs aim to achieve efficiency, quality output and uniformity of performance, while reducing miscommunication and failure to comply with industry regulations.

POS - POINT OF SALE

The point of sale or point of purchase is the time and place where a retail transaction is completed. At the point of sale, the merchant calculates the amount owed by the customer, indicates that amount, may prepare an invoice for the customer, and indicates the options for the customer to make payment.

CONVERSION

A conversion occurs when a visitor to your website or social media platform completes a desired goal, such as filling out a form or making a purchase. The percentage of total visitors that convert is called your conversion rate.
